Participating in the 2011 grow out contest and realized I did not have my tank info posted.
I started in saltwater about 5 years ago when I purchased and already running 72 gallon bow front (non drilled). The yellow tang and damsels in my tank now came with that tank. The current tank was also an already running purchase, and I have had it for about 2 years. My younger sister has been running saltwater for years and once I purchased a house, she helped get me acclimated, make my purchases and taught me how to care for the system. The first system was a FOWLER tank and she finally convinced me to move on to corals. Shortly after that I upgraded to the drilled 90 gallon so I could have a sump/refugium.
My tank is a 90 gallon with 25 gallon (estimate) sump that is running as a refugium.
A lot of live rock (could not even begin to estimate weight). I think there is too much and am thinking of thinning it out a bit for aesthetics and water flow. The tank has a 2.5 inch sand bed to accommodate some of my animals.
Fish: yellow tang, two black and white clowns, 3 white damsels (came with my original tank and I have never managed to get rid of them ), lawnmower blenny, red headed jaw fish, coral beauty, six line wrasse, coral banded shrimp, red brittle sea star, harlequin serpent star, banded brittle star, 2 fighting conchs, couple of mexican turbo snails, and a green bubble tip anemone. Writing this I realize that I do not have nearly as many snails as I used to but there are a lot of discarded shells. Time to bump up the CUC again.
Corals: cabbage, finger leather, green palys, 3 types of zoas, hammers (grape, anchor and branching), kenya tree, gsp, red blastos, plate, ricordias and mushrooms (red, green and blue)., kenya, gsp, blastos and a plate.
In the fuge: 1 inch sand bed, cheato and two brush type macroalgea (name escapes me).
Aquatic Life Combo HO T5/LED . 2 daylight and two actinic T5's and led moon lights on timer. Actinics on at 9am each day and daylights on at 10. Daylights off at 8 and actinics off at 9. Moon lights running from 9pm until 8am.

Ok, that sums it up for now. I just did a good scrub of the glass and will take and post some pics soon.
