    Default BadFish's REEFER Madness

Hello, Here are some pics of my two 2g Fluval Spec, Pico Reef tanks I have had them up since Jan & March of 2011. They are my first attempts at Reef tanks and "nano" tanks.
I custom built the hoods my self, one it has 2x 6" 10w CF coralife 50/50, and a LED actinic/moon.
    The other has 5x 3w Cree LEDs; 2x White, 2x R.Blue, & 1x UV
I am doing this log for two reason; one is to see if the difference from LEDs and CF lights in both color and growth. And the second is more personal, because someone told me I couldn't keep anything saltwater in this small of a tank, let alone a reef.
Both the tanks have no fish only inverts.

    CF Tank stock list:
    2lbs of live rock
    1 Sexy Shrimp
    1 Pom Pom Crab
    1 anemone Porcelain Crab
    3 Hermits
    4 Snails
    9 Assorted Shrooms
    1 Kenya tree
    4 Button Poylps
    1 Zoa Colony
    1 Giant Green Duncan

    2 Hermits
    3 Snails
    2 Ric. Shroom

    1 Trumpet Coral
    1 Horn Coral
2 Zoa Colonies (I'm not sure what kind)

That is a beautiful little pico! I tried to win one of those at a swap this past weekend, with no success. Makes me want to just buy one now! Love it when the 2 gallon tanks looks way bigger then it is, awesome!!

Yeah...that is a sweet pico. One of the best I can recall seeing.

After you showed your photos to me at the GRMAS swap, I bought more raffle tickets to try to win the same tank they had in the raffle...with no success.

    Thanks Jim.
I love that everytime anyone sees these tanks they tell me how much they want one. It lets me know that I'm on the right track.

Here is a few pics of all the new growth happening in my CF tank. I was surprised at how much this thank has been growing. Especially when you think that there is only a small built in overflow with carbon and bio-balls and I don't dose anything, all just water changes. Sorry the quality isn't great my only camera is on my phone.

when I got these button polyps there was only two of them, now there are 7

These polyps just showed up one day, I have no idea where them came from. Hitchhikers I guess.
