Okay time for an update along with a couple of short videos and pics. I am on the downside of my cycle ammonia has now been reading at 0 for a few days now and nitrites have slowly dropped some. Hopefully in a week or two I will be able to add my clean up crew. I have also set up my qt tank and right now have my first two fish in qt. I am thinking that by the time I have had them qt for 4 weeks than my display tank will be ready for the new additions. I picked up two Blue Green Chromis and thinking about adding a third to their numbers once they get more back in. In a few weeks if my Chromis are doing well I will probably also pick up my clown pair to add them to qt.

Video of first day of Chromis in qt

Second video is day two feeding. At first I offered them a few pellets formula 2 which they showed no interest in. Then I offered them some frozen that I had for omnivores which they went crazy over.

I have also decided that I will be adding a Mandarian Dragonet to my tank so I am in the progres of planning on getting my tank ready for the addition of this fish down the road. Because I have started with rock that is dry I have no pods, so I have some pods that I will be getting from another reefer to add into my tank. I am also working on deciding what I want to do for my hob refugium for growing pods in. Until I make that decision and get the needed equipment I have picked up a mesh net breeder to hang in the tank for placing chaeto into and letting my pods hopefully reproduce in there. I will be getting my chaeto when I get my cuc. Also after I get my chaeto I will probably see about getting more pods to add into the system, and then give them time to do their thing. The place where I am getting my fish locally has a Mandarian in right now. I talked with the manager and the Mandarians that they get in are captive breed and eat prepared food. The Mandarian that they had in their tank was looking nice and plump. I did find out that they get most of their saltwater fish from A&M although I was advised to get the Mandarian when they place their Segrest order. Even though they say that their Mandarians eat prepared foods I am not going to count on that for my tank and want to make sure that I have my system set up to be able to support this fish.
