Default CableGuy's 200 Gallon Deep Dimension

Just got a new 200G deep that needs to be resealed. Just going to try to document as much as I can as I go.

I have some big plans for this and I can't wait to start on them. Wow is this going to be a long process!

    4'x3'x27"

    The old and new:

Its going where the TV used to be so I have some moving around to do still. The new tank will be moved over 1/2 between where it is now and where the old one is.

    Cleaning it up...

Done with step one. Time for a new blade and need to re-strip it (little piece I missed) and then I will use acetone to do a final cleaning...

Found a chip in the glass at the very bottom of the front glass. Hoping it wont effect integrity as it has been like this for who knows how long. (Under the seal)

Maybe this is why it was leaking...??

Could it possibly be a flaw in the glass? I was told it is a starfire front if that matter at all...?

Got the tank cleaned up most of the way. Razor x3 with vacuum in between and then a total of 2 wipe downs with acetone.

Still need to touch the back up a little and tape it up prior to sealing.

After much debate and talking amongst the community, the chip should not take any from any integrity. May have been caused by a flaw in the glass or possibly the glass was not cut smooth enough.

SURGE TANK is probaly a better word there may be some info on M.R. there is definately some on R.C. you fill up a seperate tank above the display with your return water. When the water rises it opens a valve that releases the water in a wave action. The fish learn the pattern and when the wave is ready to come they will dive into the rocks and prepare for it they work great in a big cube just a thought
