Default Esta's not so mini reef ;)

I guess I've been a lurker long enough..... its time for me to show ya my tank!!

    The tank deets:
    80 (ish) gallon - 63L x 14D x 22H
    38 (ish) gallon homemade sump/fuge
6 bulb 48" t5 on left side of tank (zoos, clams, LPS side)
400W MH on right side (SPS)
    Lifereef VS2 skimmer
    A random ebay calcium reactor
    Coast to coast overflow
+ I run GFO/carbon reactor that gets changed monthly

Flow is from 2 MP40s, plus my Mag12 return which is routed through a seaswirl

I have been running this tank since 6/2010 in the current configuration - the sump on this tank was actually my old display, so corals from that old display were used as starters of this tank, plus whatever I've added over the last year.

    Current FTS:
    IMG 3499 - Esta's not so mini reef ;)

    Inhabitants include:
    Corals - lots
    Clams - 5 maximas, 1 crocea
Fish - lieutenant tang, yellow tang, 2 red tail tamarins, midas goby, starry blenny, dusky jawfish

Here are some close-ups of the current tank so you can actually see all the bubble algae I'm farming -

And, what I always find interesting - is what is under the hood
Overflow/return - beananimal silent system, etc

That is a beautiful tank. The aquascape and coral selection and placement is awesome. The only downside I see is line along the bottom of the overflow is quite distracting. If the coralline was cleaned up it is probably less visible. Regardless a very nice setup. I would love to see more pics... especially of the clams and the sump/plumbing.

haha the beananimal saves my a$$ daily - lol, I definitely depend on my backup overflow as my filter sock plugs up all the time

i'd recommend a beananimal to anyone who can do it !!

    Gah!! I've been slacking!!

    So, updates, updates

Well - I added a few new fish - killed off a few fish (turned my pumps off to feed one night and forgot to turn them back on, 75% fish death, ugh).... Current stock list consists of: Starry Blenny, Dusky Jawfish, Midas Blenny, Bluestripe Pipefish, Red Tail Tamarin Wrasse, Doliatus Rabbitfish, Powder Brown Tank, and Nox Dwarf Angel....

Plus - I've learned I've had pyramid snails for the past 6 months or more, still working on battling those using the old plastic container and manual daily inspection technique, no new losses, but still finding snails - argh...

Everything else is looking great - time for a video update
