well i got the tank switched over and all the rock/heater etc.... and got the lights set up. fired up the lights and all was well for about 2 seconds... then the white LEDS turned off so i immediately unplugged them. after investigation i realized that the solder joint coming from the power supply had come unsoldered so i resoldered it back up but still no lights. after investigation when the wire came loose it sent a shock through the led string and burned them out so now i have to re-order 6 more xp-g LEDS. lucky it was the whtie string that only had 6 leds though instead of the blue which have 12. so now the tank is up and running but i only have royal blue lights to keep the coral happy for a few days until i get the new xp-g whites shipped in.
i have to say i love the tank thanks to greatlakesaquariums.com those guys did a fantastic job, it fit perfect for what i wanted! the stand for the light turned out good and the leds turned out good. i had to to where i could switch off the white leds so i can just put the blues on for viewing pleasure so that turned out good but now it is just the waiting game for the white leds to come in.
i tried to take a picture but the blue LEDS overpower the camera flash and i cant even get a decent shot of the tank so once i get the white leds up and going i will post a picture.
