Default Argent's 24G Aquapod HQI upgrade...

I have been running my 8G BioCube with little problems or work now for the last couple years - and have just recently moved in to a house and decided to upgrade my tank size. I found a great deal on here for a 24G HQI Aquapod (Thanks Jim!) - which I now will slowly start work on with the end game being to move all my stuff from my 8G BC over to the 24G AP (and then of course adding more corals!) so this begins my build thread....

So on to the spec's -

24 gal Aquapod with a 70W HQI SunPod, extra new bulb, extra new Ballast, extra new return pump, a sturdy 2x4 stand, and a HOB skimmer filter UV light (ViaAqua Multi-Skimmer Deluxe w/ 5W UV Sterilizer)

    And now some pics -

    The tank etc...

    Got a Maxi-jet 1200, hydorflo and a korelia 1 on its way

already got another 20# bag of tahitian black moon sand

just need to get some buckets to get some saltwater - and then some time to work on switching over the sand/rocks/livestock from my BioCube

Yes, we can make it work for you to enter the contest. We'd have to assign a value to the current corals you have as there is a max spending limit of $150 on corals.

BTW- I am moving your thread to members reefs for now...but if you want to enter the contest we can move it to the contest forum.

    thanks for the move Jim

I could tell you originally I spent probably less than $75 on the corals I have - they've just grown out since then

though not really sure I want to enter the contest as I'm not 100% sure it'll even be ready in time

I think you'd have plenty of time...beginning stock date is Jan 3. But the standard frag pack doesn't get added until the first week of February.
