i cryed when the tank crashed i tryed saving it with lots of 90 gallon water changes i miss my zoanthids and palys the most:crying:

What do you mean, DOA colonies? You put dead colonies in your tank? Did that cause it to crash?

It was the start I think. I thought we could revive them. I still think something got into the water. The way the skimmer was acting is a solid clue.

I am sorry to hear about this, it is the sad part of the hobby. I always take the oportunity to reevaluate what I do, how I do it and make some changes to the landscape. It at least makes me feel a little better.

I know you were thinking about leaving the hobby....did you decide to stay in it and give it another shot?

We learned a few things and are changing a few things. That's about all you can do. Live and learn!
