    well.... i figured it was time to make a thread. Ive acquired a 120g tank 48x24x24 with dual corner overflows. here are some pics,

    i figured id put the equipment and livestock on another post so....

    Equipment:
    lighting- 2x250w MH and 4x55 PC retro
    filtration- dual corner overflow and 50g sump
    return pumps- Ocean Runner 3500
    heater- ?
    skimmer- SWC 200 w/ sicce psk-2500
    bulb- 10k XM's
    substrate- sugar sand
    powerheads- K2, and 3x K-evo 1400's

    Potters angel
    firefish
    YWG
    mandarin

    Coral:
    SPS:
    1 acro
    2 pocci
    red encrusting monti
    monti spongodes

    Good choice on bulbs. XM's are nice, i need to get some new bulbs and im going back to XM's.

    Concerns on the fish selection, 2 madarins and the wrasse, might end up just destroying your pod population. Just something to possibly consider.

    Flow i would probably go with 2 k evolution 1400's and 1 1050. Think that would be plenty.

    I would ditch the crush coral subtstrate, go with something finer.

    And if you can, try to get a bigger sump, bigger is better.

    Jealous. Those dimensions are dreamy.

    I have to agree with EMU on the crushed coral substrate.

    I'm looking forward to watching this come together.

    thanks for the suggestions guys, i just picked up a iwaki MD30RXLT external pump from John last night so thats a big step closer to being done and i will be getting a 36x18 sump from chort

    Lookin good demon and dont worry crushed coral is great substrate if you like substrate.
