Talking my new tank..in the making

Im soon going to begin building a stand for a 125 gallon long (72x18.5x22)aquarium and would like to build it from steel tubing. Im also looking to have it powdercoated "maybe" lol ..so it will stay nice for many years of exposure to a saltwater environment. This will be setup as a peninsula tank

Here are some specs that may influence the design:

    - Tank is 72x18.5x22
    - Stand height is to be 32" tall
    - Some other things I havent thought about yet
    - It will be made with 1 1/2" tubing

so I finally got a chance to play around with Google SketchUp and here's what I came up with
    2ik31ci - my new tank..in the making
    mts3k - my new tank..in the making
I will have build it into two sections due to its size
It will be thread inserts(the brass circles on the outer edge) on the top to hold the plywood on top of the stand.

that it for right now bk to work

Good Stuff. Any particular reason you are going with Steel rather than a wood stand?

    ty guys

I decided on steel stand because.. I liked the clean, stable look of them and the easier access to equipment.

I have got a steel stand on my 125 and love it!! Mine is made of 3/4" box tubing and don't have as many braces in it. I could post some pictures if you wanted to see it?
