On that sump you drew up, remove the three baffles before the exiting bulkhead. You do not need them, and they will only cause trouble if used. The return section is that area between the refugium and the triple baffles, and the alley/channel leading to the bulkhead.

Man, I think you spent more time creating that CAD that I did designing my system ;) JK. Looks like a great setup.
BTW, i had a panworld pump for a basement sump setup; worked great; noisy though.
