Default Oceanic 30G Cube Build

Hello from Whitsett, NC, I'm Erick, and I’m getting my 30G Oceanic Cube back up and running after a year break from the hobby.

I plan on doing a mixed reef, top of the line coral, fish, etc. This is my second go around so it will be done right.

I've started by painting the back of my tank, old plumbing, and overflow black with Krylon fusion.

I am real into the DIY LED stuff, DaveFason and I built me a 24 LED DIY Fixture (12 Cree CW and 12 Cree RB). I put it in an enclosure, wired it up; used conduit to hang it and that task is done.

I received some dry rock from a buddy of mine, used a bag of live sand and a few pieces of live rock from a LFS to seed the tank.

4 weeks later, here we are...

Livestock:
11 Snails
14 Hermits
1 Chromis
1 Royal Gramma
1 True Perc Clown

Equipment:
Oceanic 30G Cube
DIY LED Light Fixture
Vortech MP10es
Lifereef Overflow
Custom Sump
Vertex IN-180 Skimmer
Eheim 1260 Return
Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper Lite

Coming soon/WTB: Tunze Osmolator

Nice good looking start. How deep is the sand bed? Those leds look pretty bright.

It is a 20lb bag of sand, the cube is 20 x 18, so I am not sure to be honest. lol.

Great choice and set up . Do you have a pic of the sump? Just curious because everything else you have looks amazing.

Just actually finished building the sump earlier today. I will post pics tomorrow afternoon. I am exhausted and will finish plumbing up the sump tomorrow morning.
