Default Pico LED up and running

Coral Reef Aquarium - Member's Reefs - Pico LED up and running
Finally got the light hung and wires this afternoon.

Fluval Spec tank with daily water swap from my main tank.

Not really sure what will go in it yet but have a couple zoanthid plugs sprouting until I find a heater small enough to keep this thing temperate.

That is pretty sweet looking. How about some more details... LED build, equipment, ect.

Yes, of course - on my way to dinner quench snapped that one.

I removed the stock overflow sponge on filled the area with about 6" o crises live rock, two mangroves and cheato to build a little reefugium type filter.

I have kept the tiny little pump that fluval sent with the tank originally though I suspect it doesn't move enough water for my plan.

The light is a RapidLED par 38 in a standard fixture made to look like tree bark.

Contents so far are all from my little frag rack: couple polyps of nuclear green, devils armor and some crazy green ones I wish I knew the name for.

CUC is made up of 6 hermits, 4 astreas.

I still need a heater of sort but haven't been able to find one small enough just yet.

Tetra puts out a lil 50w auto-doesn't go above 80-I used on for my 8g for over a year-nice little heater.

Cool! Can we see some close-ups of your tank and the zoas? I'm curious about your rock scaping.

Here are some photos of tonight's action in this mini-tank.

It's pretty cool - gotta admit it's been stealing attention from the big tank as of lately.

Still in search of a heater as I don't think the tetra will fit in this mini space on top of the pump.

Anybody ever used that mini-hydor heater?

I have 2 of these tanks moded with lights, one with CFs and LEDs. How did you get that skimmer in there? Glad to see more of these tanks, they look awesome when they grow in

I just built a simple airstone powered skimmer - used a 1" Schedule 40 (mostly because of the color) and a little PET container that I had. Cut a hole and silicone sealed the container over the pipe and used a cylindrical airstone inside of the PVC.

The Skimmer is held in place by the crushed live rock that fills 1/2 of the overflow space.
