The application is called "Sweet home 3D". The tank width was dictated by the amount of room that I was given permission to encroach upon. It isn't ideal, but the tank will be fish only, so I don't have to worry about trying to build a reef in it. On the plus side, the 8' length should give some Tangs as lot of room to swim. I am still working on the specs of the tank with the builder, but I do know it will be glass with a PVC bottom and an overflow at one end that will be hidden by large molding that will frame the tank. The wall will be built so it ends about 7 inches above the tank on one side. The top piece of the framing on that side will cover this gap, but be on hidden hinges so it can be swung up for access to the tank. |
