    i used a little fixture i seen at menards..for 20 bucks i thought why not try it..it need a little more blue so i got so some blue ones coming from ebay ..i still need to do the short stand its going to sit on and the small canopy for it to mount the leds to then its grow in time,,

    thanks so much if it turns out half as good as your 8 gal i will be pleased..still not sure if im doing the contest yet..i want to but cant find a id some a couple of zoas for the price list..

    Im not sure on the ric garden yet until i get the blues put in..my zoas are liking these lights but my rainbow ric isnt liking it very much..so we will see once it get used to it. might just be a zoa garden.

    Did you get the 12v pre wired ones? That is what I used on the 10gal and it worked out really good. I wish their was a way to show what it looks like but led's mess up pics. I had thought it would be up just for the contest and my experiment but I like it enough it might find a permanent home on my desk.

    yeah they are 12v there are 30 lights total..i got some blue leds coming from ebay to give it some more blue to make the colors pop more..i might even get 1 more to put under the canopy ..
