I'm trying to gauge the interest in doing another nano build contest this winter.

I'm still arranging the sponsor and prize, but it will be a nice prize like we have had in the past.

I have been planning this next tank since the previous year!

I'm in for reals this year! Even though we're still in progress of finishing up our relocation from Cbus to Cincy, we plan to be settled into a house in time for this to start. Even if we're not... my plan should be somewhat portable.

Looks like we have a sponsor and a prize for this contest! The 2013 Nano Contest will be sponsored by AquaFx (Aquarium Filters).

The prize will be a barracuda RO/DI water filtration system!

I will be posting the dates for the contest to start shortly. In the mean time, if you know you want in on the contest, start a new thread in our Nano Contest Forum and select the 2013 Nano Reef Contest from the Subtopic dropdown (when you start the new thread it is an option in front of the thread title).

This year the contest dates are:
Contest Start: January 6, 2013
Last Day to Enter: February 24, 2013
Last Day to add Livestock: April 28, 2013
Last Day of Contest: June 9, 2013
Judging Complete: June 30, 2013

Also, the size of nano has increased to 39 gallons total volume (up from 30 in previous contests).
