Default can an anemone get to big

I have a 90 gallon reef tank and it's going pretty well. It has an anemone that was only about 4 inches across a year ago. it's now 8-12inches across maybe even a little bigger, and every now and then brushes a zoa colony and nicks my clam every now and then. Is it too? I've got a pair of maroon clown fish that host in it but I'm worried about my other smaller fish and my corals that are growing more and more.

Whatever comes into contact with it will definitely loose the battle. Including your clam

I was told it may be getting ready to split. But it never has. Every now and then ill fine a little bit of it and that is how it reproduces. I'm not sure what kind it is either. All I know is it can't sting me. I've been touched by it many times its just sticky.
