Cheato question-

I have seen cheato look very different from one persons tank to the next. I have seen it thick w/ big curls, and I have seen it thin w/ tight curls.

Is this the same plant, or is there more than one variety?

If it is the same plant- anyone have a clue what causes the differences??

Magnesium levels, the right spectrum of light to grow the mac, and flow. Meaning there is a long enough dwell time in that particular chamber, but that the mac is tumbling.

My chaeto ball is very tight, dark green.... I keep it in my HOB Large Aquafuge, with roughly 200 gph (it doesnt tumble at all, but is stuck to the intake on my tetra filter, so that may help it somewhat... not sure) and no light directly attatched to the fuge lol
