Last night I noticed that our saddleback clown went right inside our squamosa clam. He came out in the morning, the clam seems a little irritated. Do you think this is cause for any concern?
This is the first time we've ever saw the clownfish go right into the clam. Mostly it just would lay on the mantle.
My wife came up last night, and thought that the clam had hurt the clownfish, as he tail was trapped. I came down, and then all the sudden, the clownfish wriggled his way inside the mantle.
I've heard of this and have seen pictures.
I figure if both of them are ok with it, I won't bother, since the clown does keep some things away from the clam.
