    Default Dosing Phyto... do you?

    Hi all,

This may have been discussed here in the past but a quick search didn't yield anything. As the title suggests I'm curious to know who doses phytoplankton, who doesn't and who used to but doesn't any more. I'd also like to know the reason for your choice and details if you do (how much, how often and what brand). General discussion of pros and cons is also welcome.

I ask because I used to but haven't for the last year. Now I'm trying to decide if I should start again.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I used to~but honestly I think it was adding to my hair algae issues so I've stopped.

I dose occasionally but when I do, I do notice an increase in feather dusters and copepods.

When I had my tank I dosed twice a week. I also cultured pods for my mandarin and felt that it helped keep pod populations up in my sump if I did so. But it was purely theory.

I used to grow it to feed to rotifers for a tank I had years ago. Now that Reed MAriculture has such good products I don't bother with green water. I use Artic Pods, Rods Reef, Artemia, and spectra-vital pellets for my tank now.
