renee, I am not sure about the tulip anenomes. I have not researched them enough. but I THINK they dont pack a sting like the mojano or aptaisias and are very vibrant in color. But like I said I dont think they are the same. for as long as I have had my tulips I have had no ill effects on the other corals in the tanks.

But don't they spread like mojanos?

I don't have much experience with them myself. But we are going to be setting up a paired harlequin shrimp pico tank.... :-)

I'm interested in y'alls experiences with them

they do spread like mojanos but I dont think they spread near as fast. and like I said before I dont think they pack half the sting if that. I have my tulips right next to some rics and the both of them are fine. I actually have one growing right in the middle of a zoo colony too and they seem to get along fine

Default I'd love some Tulip Anemomes!

I would love to have some of these if anyone wants to share them with me. If you have any coral that you feel is a pest and want to give some up, I have a very bare tank and not a lot of $$$ to replenish it with coral right now. After losing all we had in the 180lb, it's been hard to come up with the cash to even build up both of the 45g's we have. I'm open to anything! I've wanted some tulip anemones for quite a while now, but I can't find any. I'd even buy some if I have to. Please let me know! Thanks! ....Angel

Eric, I did a little research and seems as though tulip anemones might be a type of mojano. Most of the newer links sight them as a OK to have but something that needs to be keep in check. Just about all of links seems match what Greg mentioned regarding the reduced sting. From reading it sounds like lots of nano reefer have them.

Angel, you can most certainly have a group of them. Send me a PM and we will work out the details.

If anyone else is interest please let me know.

Think Repto started with a few of these guys and has been cussing ever since...have to wait for him to jump on and toss his penny in the pot.

    But they are pretty....

Dave your right, when I was over at his place he was kinda cussing them for the fact that they spread so dang good but if you can keep them contained to one part of the tank they sure are neat!!!
