Default Getting a Maxi Mini to move?

Anyone have any ideas on how I could get a Maxi Mini nem to move. She's choking out some of my zoas

I personally think it'd be easier to get the Zoas to move lol. That thing has a mind of its own. Frag the zoos by scraping them off a rock and relocate them. Or I'll take the maxi if that doesn't work

Darlin if I can get that nem to come loose it's yours! She was totally white when I rescued it-now I'm seeing red, orange, green and yellow

Sometimes aiming a power head at it for awhile will work.

A couple years ago, I grabbed a single Mini Maxi from Deb at a swap. Today I've got dozens. I've noticed a couple of few things about them (at least those in my tanks)...
  • They don't like bright light. A few hours of increased PAR and they find a place to hide.
  • They move a lot - I've got some that come to the top of a rock shelf overnight, but spend the days on the bottom, hiding from the mid-day PAR.
  • They are as tough as nails - I've hacked, cut and torn them off everything from live rock, to the sides of clam shells. Even when appearing to me mutilated and destroyed, they bounce right back.
I wouldn't be afraid the move any of them. Grab a knife and scrape it off the attachment point - then put it anywhere you like. I created a little nursery for them from the bottom 2" of a 2 liter pop bottle partially filled with aragonite (similar to a Ric nursery) so I can keep them confined in a frag tank. Feed em LPS pellets and them go...they multiply so fast, they should be called "Tribbles"
