    Default Nassarius Dance

    Can anyone tell me what my Nassarius snails are doing? Here lately I will see one of my Nassarius snails holding another Nassarius and spinning it back and forth. I don't know how long this last but I know that it least a couple of minutes. At first I thought they might be fighting but it does not appear that the one that is being spun about is harmed nor is it a hurry to get away. Is this possibly some type of mating or are they just fighting for turf?

    well i see this all the time with my nescarius obletus' and it seems like they are playing. to date i have not wound up with any baby snails so could be a romp in the hay so to speak.

    I never saw that before and then I just got 5 new ones about 2 mos. ago and they all are doing just that.

    They are trying to get the added weight off of their back... mine do the same and they are pretty animated about it.
