    Default Hermit eating tank sealant!

Ever wonder why your tank has sprung a leak? YUPPERS!! He's eating the sealant! I watched this lil bugger go back to this same spot for two days in a row. Until I used a magnifier I wasn't sure. Now I am! He's tearing off lil pieces of the sealant and eating it.

If it was a dog, I would spray it with bitter apple, but I am not sure how you train a hermit crab to stop gnawing on the furniture.

Invite your cajon friends over and have them boil water in a big pot where he can see it ! That should get him to leave it alone ! Lol This is a very confused crab Jamie.

Dputt88 got it right, he's eating his way to freedom. No glass box will ever hold that tough as nails ol' hermit.

nom nom nom hehe - maybe he is eating at the algae under the sealant? Over time I have seen the sealant peel up, especially after we hit it everyday with our too strong scratch the glass mag cleaners over and over again
SAY NO TO FISH STICKS - Put screened and vented lids on your tanks, and save your wrasse

Current tank: 80 Gal XXL Reef & 25 Gal Cube QT

Friend me up on FB too!

That's an idea...hmmm...well he got the message that he's not supposed to be doing that, as he's not been back up there since I kicked his *** down-LOL.
