Default I.D. Help!

Lights came on and I found this little snail attached to one of my power heads. No idea what type it is, but it definitely isn't something I purchased. It's shell only covers the top half. It cannot retract into it's shell. Looks a lot like a slug. It moves pretty fast to for a snail.

It is a stomatella snail, and are good for the tank. They will only populate to what their food source will allow.

+1 on the stomatella snail. Good guy here.

The Fuge is probly a good spot for it, nice and protected from any potential predators and all.

+1 on the ID.

You may have had them for awhile and not noticed... they are almost exclusively nocturnal and run for cover when the lights come on.

The stomies in my breeder system are out all the time and are taking over my tanks they were even spawning after the lights came on.
