I know DaveJnz has some of these guys...anybody else with any experience with them? I'm looking to get a few to scrounge the last of the fargin' bryopsis in my tank.

My reef keeps me (in)sane...I wouldn\'t have it any other way.
They're ok, but for a tank the size of yours... IMO, a sea hare is fare more applicable. They get friggin huge and ugly as sin, but can mow out!!! BTW, how ya been???

Sea Hare, huh? Hmm...not sure how the wifey will take to something that ugly
Same foot, different pile...you know. Trying to sleep whenever the wife and kid will allow, plus have time to take care of the tank, etc, etc, etc.

I had a lettuce slug for about 4 mouths. I liked him. Also moving around, eating hair algae, seemed real healthy. He went MIA one day though. I think he may have fallen on the open brain and became a snack but who knows.
Reefmaniac, Glad things are well... bout damn time I saw your personal avatar!!! Metalica rocks!!!

I have a lettuce. He's been really cool so far. Kind of reminds of a dog or cat the way it sticks it head up in the water with those horns and sniffs around!
They do seem to have a very curious charactor... kinda cool, huh?

Well, I may be waiting for a while longer on the Lettuce Nudis...The bryopsis is making a comeback (albeit slowly, since I no longer have a nitrate problem) and I'm about sick of it. Since most of my live rock was rock that I seeded from real live rock, I'm thinking of just chucking it and getting some Tonga rock from Dr. Mac. I'll have to cure it for a few weeks, but that's easier to deal with than this PITA.

I know of a local reefer that put their existing LR in a tub of salt water, scrubbed all of the algae they could off, and dusted the effected areas with pure lime(kalkwasser) and rubbed it in then rinsed with ro and reused... they seem to have had success. Could save alot of $$$ and give you the results you want. Hope this helps.
