    Default moving anemone off rock

    HELP

I have a pretty large anemone that has made it's home in a rock and has anchored it's self pretty well in a hole. I need to get it off because there is a bobbit worm that has made it's home in that rock! Right now I've got a power head blowing on the anemone to try to get it to move. Any other ideas to try to get it to move so I can remove it from the rock....so I can fresh water dip the rock to kill the bobbit? I want to get this thing off as fast as possible so I can get the worm out of the tank.

    Thank you.....

I recently removed two Green BTA's from their rocks by hanging them upside down over the sump. I suspended the rock out of the water with the nem upside down over a plastic bag. I had them set to fall into the bag so they wouldn't get into the return pump and I needed to bag them anyway because I was donating them to a club tank at a frag swap. The first one detached from the rock in a couple of hours. The second one took more like 20 hours. I thought that it'd be dead for sure that long out of water but it was fine.

The first one could touch the water while suspended the second one did not touch the water. Not sure if that had anything to do with release time or not.
