Default My latest tank edition!! PICS!!!!!

Well here she is, I picked her up at at 5pm, had her home at 5:45, acclimated by 6:45, and in the tank she went, she moved around for a couple of minutes, found a nice spot, and setup her house.

After 10 minutes in the tank this is what she looks like

She now has her foot all the way down into the hole and is extending out into the tank now.

The rose BTA's are awesome... they get pretty darn big, too. Mine hosts a pair of Gold Bar Maroon Anemonefish.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying

Since I first put her in the tank she has almost tripled in size! I will take a picture shortly before the lights kick to blue for the night.

Beautiful RBTA... Looks great.... I have a couple of ?'s RE: anemones. I have been told by one dealer to stay away from anemones as they will sting corals. Truth ? I love the anemones, and would love to have one if I could find one that likes to stay put, and stay away from corals. What do you guys reccomend or think ?

From what I have been told, and I am doing research anems can sting corals, I handled my anem quite a bit today getting her out of the transport container and out of the aclimation bucket, but it just made my hand tingle for a short time nothing big. I hope she stays where she is now, but that is why I am putting my anems in first so they can get settled in, that way I hope when I put some corals they will be happy enough not to roam the tank.

Yes they can and will wipe out coral. Also be cautioned adding multiple anemones to a tank is generally a bad idea unless they are separated by at least 3-4 feet and do not roam even that could be too close... otherwise you may get to see a real chemical war up close and personal, they may attack one another from opposite sides of the tank shooting nematocysts at the other and anything that happens to be in the path won't stand a chance.

If you want to be sure.....Just ask my Kenya tree that got in the way of my Sebae wanting to relocate. It's been 3 days now and the Kenya tree still has not opened back up.

I can't say that I have ever been "Stung" but......My Green Carpet anemone would stick to my hand whenever I touched it and my hand felt like it was asleep for an hour or so afterwards. My new LTA does the same thing. I handle many different anemones often and have never had a sting that actually hurt. If you have allergies like to bee stings I have heard they can really hurt you. I have no allergies so no worries for me. I was scared to touch my carpet at first but I got over it quickly. As I type this my hands feel asleep because I was just handling my new LTA and getting him placed where he/she & I are both happy with the location.
