    Default Need feather duster help!

Hi all! Need some help... I added a giant duster to my tank 2 weeks ago. It was doing great for the 1st week but now he hasn't come out of his tube for 4-5 days... Do you think he died? It's very sad because I have a clown that was hosting in him. He misses his buddy! Any help or thoughts would be appreciated! Kelly

Be patient. Sometimes they molt their feather crown and hide for about a week sometimes even up to two weeks waiting for their new crown to grow in.

You're welcome. I had one drop its crown, come back out after a week with a gold crown instead of purple, then dropped the new one a few days later. I guess it didn't like the new color. Came back in another week with a gold and purple striped crown.

Lol! Well then I can't wait to see what he looks like when he comes back out! When he dropped his crown did you see it in the tank? I haven't seen anything.

Yeah, I seen it tumbling around the gravel and between the rocks.
