    Question Snail ID pics included

When we started the growout/breeding experiment we had everything but the fish in a 10g. We saw this tiny odd snail. We didn't see any damage going on and left him alone. Anyway he has grown! He seems to be a great algae eater even eating the red string crude! But I can't seem to ID him! When he is out and about his mantle folds up onto the shell he has a long proboscis (sp) snout. He reminds us of a cowrie but without the fancy shell.. He was smaller than my pinky nail when we found him but now he is as big as my whole thumb! Any ideas???
The 1st pic was in Oct 08 when we had everything in a 10g the 2nd was just a few days ago in the 30g
    Thanks for the help!
