I would recommend nacarious (spelling) snail
most local fish stores including petco usually carry some
maby even consider 3 or 4 mexican turbo snails these guys are great for algae
I have been reefing from 08-2007 till 5-2011
reef tanks are like wifes you have to give them some attention every now and then
yeah I need something to help control my algae - my lace rock is starting to turn green
Cant recal the name, but if you have sand, the sand burrowers are a must have in my opinion. Nasarius maybe??
I am a HUGE fan of the tiny colonista snails!! They breed like crazy- never need replenishing, and get into the smallest spots. Plus- they can build up their numbers into the hundreds- and clean your tank completely each night. Mine do a great job!!
Nassarius are the sand sifters - or the zombie snails as I call them (cause when you toss food in they raise up from the ground like a horde of hungry zombies!)
I have Astraea, a couple Mexican Turbos and some bumble bee. The Mexicans great at grazing but IMO are too big and not so appealing to look at so I keep my numbers down to no more that five or six, but that is just my preference. Nassarius and colonista are good too as mentioned prior.
Most LFSs have them or at least mine do. If not, most decent sites have Clean up Crew packages...
I have Nassarius, cerith and fighting conchs for the sand bed and a mix of astrea, margarita and trochus for rock/glass. The trochus is my favorite by far(but pricey).
I simply can't trust people that don't like bacon,
Argent, 1st I would recommend visit one of our sponsors for some snails. 2nd if your really ballin on a budget hit up eBay. Thats where I buy all my Nassarius Vibex and Nassarius Onyx or (Occsomethins) snails. Just look for the one with free shipping!!

garfs reef janitors are good. it will be a mix of 2 types of cerith and nerites. just ask for no crabs. cerith are good for the sand also. bumblebees are small and can get into places. margaritas are good, if slow cleaners. i am not into turbos at all. though they do a good job of algae they die often and knock stuff over.
+1 on trochus and nassarius snails. By far my two favorites. Both do a good job and can right themselves if they fall. Just a thought. I also agree to check with the sponsors, many of them already have these guys in stock and you can see what you're getting. I've placed orders online before and ended up with some very tiny nassarius snails. Needless to say I was not happy.
