It's very slow, and I've read they are hard to keep alive. So far so good. I make sure I look at him close daily so I can see if it's in trouble in any way. The best thing is that it stays out in the open where we can see it all of the time. It doesn't give me the creeps like my monster brittle star did. It gives me the willies just thinking about the brittle star that was in my 125g. It was over 14 inches with those long spikey looking arms. ewww.
very nice what kink of star is that
i like the crab too is he a eletric blue hermet
:: hummer :nemo
is'nt that a red fromia star?
It's all about the reef. :YEAH:
they are hard to keep alive, i had one for a few months and just one day he died. i think he wasn't getting enough to eat, so you may want to try putting some food under him once a week or so.

He likes to sit on a sheet of Nori. I wrap a 4x4 sheet of nori around a piece of PVC pipe that has fishing line tied to it. I lower it into the tank for the snails and crabs, since there isn't alot for them to eat in the tank. Once the star gets to it, they have to wait till he moves, lol.
