It's been a busy month so far for us and we though it might be nice to share what we've been up to! Recently we had a group from the local elementary school come in for a tour of the facility. We set up a little touch tank for them, feed the Moray Eel, and teach them a little about coral aquaculture and how it helps to protect the natural ecosystems these animals come from.
We've also been running some super sales this month! This will be the last week for our 40% off Summer Kickoff sale, so don't miss out! Also look for more updates this week to the Under $15 page and our Lucky 7 - Buy 6 Get 1 Free Sale!
And all this past week Dr. Mac has been down in Florida visiting some of our suppliers. He's on his way back now with some great new stock to begin posting later this week or first thing next week! A few preview shots taken while he was down there:
We love having groups to educate and generate interest in our hobby. We regularly host tours for senior groups, schools, boy and girl scouts, reef clubs, etc. We feel it is important to help develop interest in our hobby for future generations and to educate about our captive propagation work.
If you are interested in learning about reefkeeping or have a problem with your reef, our reefkeeping community is here to help. Feel free to ask a question or search our site. We have lots of experienced reefkeepers that are willing to provide free reefkeeping advice!
Besides being a great resource for all levels of reef aquarium hobbyists, CaptiveReefs is a social experience that will enhance your enjoyment of reefkeeping. CaptiveReefs is committed to connecting reefkeepers with the support and information they need to grow beautiful coral reef aquariums.
