    Default Gorgonia PIF

It was suggested that I do a PIF of my gorgonia, which is a lot better alternative to the fate I had in store for it. It is a brown/pink with purple body gorg that is photosynthetic. I have given it no special care and it is in medium to medium high flow and medium light. It grows well for me, would probably be considered a beginner coral but anyone looking for movement and height in their tank might consider a piece....

It will be unmounted so you will have to rubberband/ziptie it loosely where you want it to be. You can also peel back some flesh at the base of the piece and glue it to a rock.

Simply reply to this thread saying you would like some and give your location. I will have several pieces available for pick-up at the swap. Swap info.... HERE

I/we will try and follow the list for passing it along but location and availability may play a factor in the disbursement of this PIF

Thanks soo much again. Opened up right away too. And thanks for the one for my son, he was sooo excited. He has a little 10 gallon nano, and is all proud of "his" corals. It meant a lot to him. He kept saying "that was real nice of that guy". Thanks again!!!

Hey folks, just a helpful hint; best method I have found for attaching these is to take your piece and use a pair of wire strippers to take about a 1/4" off the very bottom, leaving the black inner core. Drill a hole into the piece of rock to which you wish to attach it (I usually use a pocket knife) fill the hole with superglue, and then place the core into the hole. Place the rock into saltwater removed from tank till it hardens, then place where desired in your tank. Much nicer looking and easier than try to rubberband it. HTH

    BTW; Nice job Chuck
I collect PEs, and I'm always looking to trade for ones I don't have yet.
