Assuming thats a Point n Shoot?

Sell it on ebay and get a refurbed SLR

Tripod and a flash diffuser will help
    How many MPX is it?

no this isnt just a point and shoot it is just under the rebel. i have only had point and shoots before and after a few hours of playing around i still find i cant get real close up shots without getting real grainy. basicly i think the camera is smarter than the user

Might just be the megapixel count, or the ISO. Are you shooting in a well lit area?
