Stopped into @Preuss Pets today and picked up this sweet pistol shrimp...a Michaels Pistol Shrimp (Alpheus soror) also called a bullseye pistol shrimp.
Now I just need to find him a buddy.

Big Steve
Sweet! Is that really blue I'm seeing on his legs and pincer's?
There's nothing like being a Reefer! www.upmmas.com
His claws are bright purple/blue with bright yellow tips. I think the legs are picking up the blue light from the container I was floating it in...truthfully didn't pay that close of attention. I figured I better get a good shot now since who knows if I will ever get a clear shot of him again after releasing into the tank.
Amazing colors great score.
Hi my name is Larry and I'm a coral addict!
They are very cool and actually develop a personality of sorts. You have to find where they hole up. Don't be surprised if it is not in the sand. A friend had one for 5 years and he found a cave in an SPS coral and lived there his whole life.
I didn't see it this morning. But it looked like there might be new excavation under the new huge mushroom I got from @Reef Paradise .
Hmmmm, so you're looking for a buddy for your cute little pistol shrimp huh Jim? Well I'd like to offer up my pistol shrimp. His name is Harry, and he's dirty, Dirty Harry that is, and he's packing, a .44 caliber. Check out his video below.
Pistol Shrimp vs. Shrimp - Video
Please stop fragging your frags.......you'll eventually do more damage than good. Just let them grow.
Wow...cool video. I didn't realize they could use those as weapons...thought it was more of a scare off the would be attacker/intruder type thing.
