messed around with a few more today, still getting used to things. the tripod is hard to work with shotting through the tank glass and even above it because in order to do macro i can only be i think 5/8" away from the target so anything further is hard to shoot. anyone have any tips for making that 5/8" say roughly 2-3"? maybe adding an extension tube or something (not to sure exactly what they do) anyways here are the pictures:

well decided to take another run at this. i ordered a wireless remote control for my camera shutter, cost me $5 shipped through amazon!!! so i set the tripod up, kicked up the f stop to 32 and took a few pictures. they turned out a lot better and what i was expecting, i got a lot more depth of field out of my shots. i now need to mess with the iso settings to figure that neck of the woods out. here are some pictures though first!

a frag of green goblins, tried to figure out a good area to shoot at in the frag tank:

now that you seen all of the images you can see i have some dust on my sensor which sucks!! i have some duster at my work i will bring home to try and clean it off but if that doesn't do the trick how else do you clean it?

    Thanks for looking!!

yeah that hammer picture turned out sweet! it was one of the things i could actually get a true macro shot of because it was close enough to the glass. it is my computer background!

yes i am! now that i figured out what settings do what, i really love the remote control lol best $5 i ever spent. it really makes it nice not having to worry about pushing the shutter button on the camera and causing viberation.

For $5, yea.....sounds like a **** of a purchase! I need to get a camera like that. Just hard to spend extra cash on anything other than the tank lol. Problem is it's hard to share the tank with others when pic suck. I did get a decent video tho.
