    yeah it takes time, i just sell/trade coral to get other things for my tank. i sold coral at the last swap which i used to purchase this camera so it worked out great for me. i like using this hobby to pay for its self, makes it easier on the wallet and easier on the gf doing this:

    It looks like you are getting good with your camera, you can come and show me any time. I am trying to learn mine too and not getting as good at it as you have yet, but still working at it.

    thanks! a tripod and having the remote has really helped me a lot, i can higher the F. stop to get a better depth of field to show things more in focus now and that plays a huge part in macro photography... well at least making it look good lol

    Can you list what settings you are using. I assume you are not shooting in automatic so are you using
    M,A,S,P and what ISO setting are you using and you already said a high F stop.

    i shoot in A mode with iso 200 currently until i mess around with that more and fstop 32. the settings in A i am not sure of, i bought it from bryan and he had all the stuff preset from when he used to take photos of coral with it.

    Thanks, I will have to give those settings a try. Our cameras are similar so this might get me a little closer. I am using a d90 and a 60mm macro lens so it should be close.
    One other question did you have to turn any thing on to get your remote to work?
    Mine came with no instructions.

    yeah there is a setting in the camera, i have to push a button and use my scroll wheel until it is on remote to use it, just google search to find your manual for your camera and it will tell you how to use it
