Most of your problem is that you don't have enough light and the camera is shooting at 1/10 of a second. If it is not set up on a tripod, your pictures will be blurry because you can't hold the camera steady enough. If you have a tripod, set it up and use the camera's self timer to take the picture.

    OR

Go to THIS SITE for the camera manual.

    Try this:

    1. Set camera to M for MANUAL (p. 18) and set ISO to 400. You might be able to set the ISO using the menu BUTTON.
    2. Now set camera mode to S for SHUTTER SPEED (p. 10)
    3. Set shutter speed to 1/60 (p. 10)
    4. Set camera to center zone focus (p. 24), then set camera to the closeup mode using the flower icon (p. 18). Get with 28" or less of the tank and take a picture.
    5. Post the picture so I can see if that helped.

What is your zoom setting on? Mine does the same thing if I have it set for 2.0 or 1.5 and am standing more then 10" away from the tank.

Rick, try this site for the manual:

Are you using a tripod to take your pictures? I have listed the camera information for your picture below. Note that for this picture, your shutter speed is 1/8 second.....waaay too slow for a hand held picture! Especially since your ISO is set for a low ISO of 80......and, the camera is set for LANDSCAPE mode for shooting mountain ranges, not something fairly close.
