I didn't know octo's were venemous.... I assume you mean they/ this species are?

Despite their small size and relatively docile nature, they are currently recognized as one of the world's most venomous animals. Its venom is powerful enough to kill humans. There is no blue-ringed octopus antivenom available. Tetrodotoxin causes severe and often total body paralysis; the victim remains conscious and alert....

The blue ring octopus is very much so.

That is news to me.... I learned something new today, perhaps I won't be stupid and pick one up if I encounter one when diving now...lol I would have if given the chance.... I can't help myself I love to make the turtles pull me along etc.
