Would be nice if you added a little more info on that lil beauty ;) like....what do they eat? Special requirements? Can I have one in my tank!? Lol
-
Miz they only eat flatworms. And nothing else, so when he's done in my tank. Back to the lfs or off to a fellow reefers tank to keep working.
I guess you could have one, but you'd have to keep breeding flatworms in another tank to keep it fed. Great nudi, just not a long term occupant.
There are a few other nudis that just eat types algae, but again after they clean your tank, you'd have to keep adding algae and hope they don't starve.
There specialized diet really makes them hard to keep long term.
Though Miz with your dedication you'd find a way to make one happy.

I should try another one of these. I bought one and it started eating flat worms immediately. All looked good, watched it crawl behind a rock and never saw it again. I've still got plenty of flat worms so maybe its worth another shot.

Awesome nudi good luck on the flat worms.

There cool for sure, but lazy. Slugo slept the night away, woke up with lights on(8am) had a small breakfast, and has been sleeping all morning. But as long as he keeps eating.
@ Jim - do you have any nem's in your tank. I've heard they find the velvet nudis very tasty. Two of my friends lost there's after 5mins, to there red bubble tip nem's.

Well...woke up today and saw something kinda weird and scary floating in my tank today. So I sucked it out. No it wasn't Slugo, but it was Slugo's egg sack. (thanks Shannon for enlightening me). Still hard at work and happy enough to lay eggs. Tank is about 90% clean of all flat worms now.

I heard that these guys are beneficial and each pests like flatworms
-
Color like that ALMOST makes ya wanna have flatworms!
-
Yes they do, however once the flatworms are gone you have to find it a new home. Or they starve to death, don't buy one unless your tank is heavily infested. There are other solutions for minor outbreaks...my tank did not have a minor outbreak.
