Mine has a lid and so does yours I like that mine is a fish trap so you technically would never have to net a fish

Have you ever used it as a fish trap? If so did it work ok?

Nope never tried that. I prefer the 2 liter bottle method for a fish trap.

The thing I like about the first one is the outlet on the bottom-no tubing required. But I like #2 more still. No netting except for the lfs part. I just may have to get one

reef gently is a great idea but i would want a hospital tank with it as it uses the store water and adds it right to you main system.

The reef gently we have doesn't use store water. It has a drip line that you drip your tank water into the container. Then you can pull out the internal chamber which drains the water and put the fish right into your tank.
