I've never used it, but the comments on Amazon weren't very impressive...

I've found that using vinegar heated in the microwave literally blasts calcium and mineral deposits off most any surface in just a few minutes.
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man. - George Bernard Shaw
I have used it. It works ok, bit not worth the money.
Go to Ace and get the highest acid % of vinegar and soak it in that and water for 24 hours. The calcium will rub off like mush by your fingers.
Thanks for the tip. I will try it soon.
I heat 1 cup for about 60 seconds in the microwave. Seems to do the job well without damage. Coralline & deposits literally dissolve right off I buy the gallon size of distilled White Vinegar from The Dollar Store

I am running 4 pumps on their wavemaker system, and have had issues in the past of the Front covers cracking. As a result the pumps would run backwards. Hydor has always been very good about sending me replacement parts. When I asked what I am doing wrong or I can do different, they asked about my cleaning methods which has always been with Vinager. Based on this conversation, it was brought to my attention that the vinager is damaging the pump cover. I have since switched to Magi-Klean and have not had any issues in quite some time.
I agree that the vinager seemed to do a better job however my pumps have been working trouble free with the Magi-Klean
Of course they're going to tell you that. They make the Magi-Klean. I used vinegar on my Koralias (and everything else)for 2yrs, never an issue.
Then again when the vinegar is heated you don't have to let your equipment sit in it for hours for it to work. 15-20min at the most.
