    Default Tunze Osmolator

I would like to write about the Tunze Osmolator auto top off unit .This is by far the best unit I have used. It is very well built and easy to dial in. I bought mine used for about $125 (brand new $195)and I never had a problem with it . The optical sensor keeps my salinity right on and never have to worry about over filling into my sump. About once a month I do take the sensor off and give it a good vinegar soaking just in case The pump can be a little noisy at times but it does it's job. If the pump does happen to go out, a brand new replacement is only like $20. If I am not mistaken I believe Reefer Rob just purchased one and he loves his. Can't go wrong with anything tunze.

I agree once you get them set they are good to go. I have gone through two pumps in the 6 years I've had mine but the cost is reasonable to replace them.

Thats so funny. I was actually thinking or using my spare Tzunami ATO to add another top of bucket-for my top of bucket on the grow out tank! .........Im just gonna get a bigger reservoir.!

Had to replace my first pump on my AtO. It was my fault , the reservoir ran dry so the pump burned out. Easy fix, plugged in a new pump that I got from Preuss Pets , one of our great sponsors.

Do you have the purchase the exact pump or can you replace it with any other kind of power head?

It works off of the Tunze 12v system. it would be cheaper to use the tunze pump to buy as well as operate (electric costs)
