Modular LED

As some of you may know I have had some major issues over the last few months with switching my tank over to LEDs....

Today I got an email from Martin from Modular LED (they are from Canada), which is the company that makes the LED boards my "fixture" uses. He apologized about the troubles I had with the company I got them from and even told me that they have stopped dealing with him because he has numerous unpaid bills with them, and thinks that the issue lies with them not properly attaching them to the heatsink or something basically after the LED boards were made by Modular LED, and before I received them....... but he was going to send me full replacements at no additional cost anyways!!!! I am definitely happy with his response and the way he handled the situation!

The 2 heatsinks (48 LED's) that I haven't had any problems with I am very happy with and like the color, shimmer effect, and overall look of my tank under them! Also, they use 3w Cree LED's which is good!

No, it still is, it will just have the replacement leds included when they arrive now lol

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the LEDs from?

I'd still like to take a peak at this Chris... maybe even snag up some of your burnt out LED's if you don't mind.

Do you have a thread on your LED build?
What driver's were you using? Were you using a limiting resistor on your strings or did they overheat due to poor thermal transfer into heatsink?

A few people know the name of that company if they want to tell you privately thats up to them, but at this time I cannot. Also, I don't want that to take away from the good of the company I am reviewing.

No problem Mike, as long as modular doesn't request them back I don't care lol
