    Default MMMC Reef Stew Event-1/08/11

Our next MMMC club meeting will be on Saturday, January 8th @ 6pm at Preuss Pets.

This is our annual meeting to make our MMMC Reef Stew for our upcoming swap. Each participant will get to take home a bag of Reef Stew for their tank.

We ask that each person bring an ingredient or two to throw into the Reef Stew Mix. The MMMC food is formulated to feed your entire reef. It has large pieces all the way down to the <10 micron size for feeding acros. Last years batch contained these ingredients:

    fresh squid
    fresh shrimp
    fresh gobies
    mysis shrimp
    cyclopeeze
    Prawn Roe
    mussels
    Red Sea fish pellets
    flake food
    Nori
ESV spray dried phyto...this stuff grows zoanthids like crazy
    Golden Pearls (several sizes)
    Reefroids
    Coral Frenzy
    Zoaplankton

Anyone is welcome to attend that is interested in becoming a member of the club.

Here are links to some of our past Reef Stew videos:

That was fun making the reef stew. The blender still has a faint odor of fish food!

Hope everyone had a good time yesterday. Im sure Beakerbob will be posting some pics here soon.

The food making meeting was a sucess. It was nice seeing some new faces showing up and helping out. Special thanks to Road8514 (Joe) for driving from Livonia and donating the entire brick of Cyclopeeze to the mix! This years batch was the best we have made yet IMO.

Oh..and per Rick Pruess. "It was better tasting then last year".

What a night for making reef stew!! This years batch has more in it than last year for all your tank needs. Rick Preuss, gourmet extraordinaire, gave it the personal taste test and declared it the best batch we have ever made!
