Came home today and saw this strange looking string shaped thing on the inside of our tank attached to the glass, anyone know what it is?

I did check out blueglow.com no mushrooms on the site at the moment and I'm a ways from flint to stop into that store, we did go there before the last swap though and he does have a lot of nice stuff!

Update* We kept testing our ammonia with the API kit and it was reading 1ppm so we decided to make a trip to Preuss and have them check it out, turns out our water is all good and so we must have...

So as of today our ammonia is still up, we're doing lots of water changes and running carbon but the die off has continued, we've now lost our torch, xenia, frogspawn, hammer, toadstools, hermit...

Which brand of Titanium heaters do you use? I get a few different options when I type it into amazon. The tank is looking pretty awful and the whole thing is depressing, hopefully it turns around...

I have no idea, I came home after being gone most of the day and there were shards of glass everywhere and a burnt looking hole in the heater.

I just came home to a heater explosion, our frogspawn, all the ricordea and the rest of the corals near the top of the tank do not look well at all but most of our fish seem to have made it, haven't...
