I am in too. Gotta love March madness!
Chuck and Mrs. Binsford are two of the best. Hope to see both of you at the Lansing Swap! I think I am going to try the "hot" Thai treatment the next time we visit your restaurant, David!
We have Vendor set up on Saturday evening the 21st from 6:00 to 11:00 pm or Vendors can begin their setup on Sunday morning, the day of the Swap, beginning at 8:00 am.
Should be great fun this afternoon seeing familiar faces and meeting some new friends! Everyone will get to take home a beautiful frag and also watch a demonstration on the operation of the club...
Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Members of the GRMAS and MMMC took a two day trip this past weekend to Rhinelander, Wisconsin for a tour of the marine portion of Drs. Foster and Smith facility. This tour is offered to a limited...
I have done this twice - a 55 gallon and a 180 gallon. Both were switched over to sand in one weekend., with no spikes or lost animals. Many problems in tanks are undoubtedly due to the crushed...
Don't see that you have made your selections Mr. Jimsflies! Your Alma mater should go pretty far this year. Many thanks to Aquarium Shine and Cr for the contest. Always GREAT fun, especially when...
Sorry about your loss. It just bites to lose a fish when you are giving your best effort to keep a fish alive and everything as perfectly as you can in your tank. A good site for advanced research...
I would raise the temperature gradually with your new heater. During power outages my tank has gotten to 68 degrees and everybody made it. I think it is a greater stress to move everybody around...
Good Morning All!

We are not going to be making the Reef Stew at this meeting, but may make a batch after the swap sometime. If you cannot make the meeting, but would like to join, you may certainly send me a PM here...
We have a great group called the Mid-Michigan Marine Club. Our primary event is the swap (Michigan Coral Expo and Swap) we host each year with the Grand Rapids Marine Aquarium Society (GRMAS) We...
Having survived/experienced a power outage last night from 9:20 pm to 4:40 am,, I thought it ironic I would get an email today with some reminders about power outages. Gotta get a flippin'...
Everything is progressing well trying to get everything back in shape. Brandon, my living room looked like the back room at a fish store for about three weeks. Had a huge rubbermaid tub filled with...
I certainly hope that no one EVER has this problem, but the 120 I bought used 7 years ago sprung a leak along the back seam. I tore the tank down. When I took the Durso standpipe out of the...
I use the Coral Revive and like it. Good dip for new zoas. In terms of treatment of any parasites, etc., Revive kills adult zoa nudibranchs and other pests, but isn't good at getting rid of the...
It's the dark ones that eat zoas, the white ones are fine. If in doubt, throw em in your sump!
I had a 29 gallon Bio Cube in my office for years and the zoanthids were just thrilled to be a part of the tank. I would start them on your sandbed and see how they look. I think they would...
I have one large piece of live Tonga rock for sale. I am open to partial trades as well.
The smaller piece weighs 25 lbs for $100, ROCK IS STILL 'LIVE" Here are a couple pics:...
