    Default Acropora Color?

I've been dosing 2 part for almost 2wks now. All is well. However there's something my Acros are lacking. They are not coloring up at all. I've had them for over a month. I know a little about the importance of magnesium to Acros and would like to start dosing. But I have no test for mag due. Do I dare dose? If so do I dose the same amount as I do the 2part which is 7.5ml?

Parameters are: ca=440~kh=7~ph=8.2 what am I missing

If it were me I'd get a mag test first. Salifert of course is best here. though hopefully others will ring in with other choices that are just as good minus the price. I have been doing a TON of reef chemistry reading and it seems with mag it is better to get it to the right level and then dose accordingly. Also mg shouldn't be raised more then 100ppm per day. So it looks like you better test first. I found this site to be really useful as a starting point. Reef Chemistry Calculator Mag's purpose seems to be to help stabilize ca and alk and to help with coral growth. I am unsure what it does with color hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.
