    Default growth rate

    purchased a sunset and superman monti at the MASM Frag Swap.
    both are about 1" dia. can someone tell me what to expect for growth.
    how long would it take to double in size

    I think it depends on the tank. I have a rainbow and it is a moderate grower so far.

    I agree that it really varies from tank to tank and frag to frag. My Bruddah's Superman took about 2-3 weeks to settle in and now it's a very fast grower. Started at about 3/4" and it's probably 3" x 3" four months later.

    It's all about finding that "sweet spot" for both flow and amount of light IMO.

    I agree on "the sweet spot" but it also varies with water quality and light... but just be patient it will grow hahah

    find a spot with high light and moderate flow. Attach it and leave it alone. the more you mess with it, the longer it takes to get "settled in". Usually takes a month or so to get used to new tank then it will start to grow. Superman monti is not one of the fastest growers...but it is steady in good stable parameters.
